I remember the feeling of returning to Lima after more than twenty years. It was not only a geographical return, but an emotional one. There are places that hold what we never finished living.
Fragile Creatures was born from that memory. From desire that does not disappear, from time that moves forward but does not resolve. I was interested in filming that moment when the past returns and unsettles what once seemed stable.
I wanted to move closer to the breath, to the silences, to what remains unspoken yet endures. Because sometimes love is not a promise, but something that returns to remind us who we once were.
