With Toro, I was interested in looking at people who live on the margins of society, far from the promises that once brought them to Europe. Many search for a new beginning, but instead face a reality far harsher than they had imagined.
I am drawn to characters who live between hope and failure, trying to preserve their dignity in a world that often makes them invisible. In this context, friendship can become the only form of family.
Toro is, above all, the story of two men trying to remain loyal to each other in a world where violence and betrayal are never far away.
